Why First Aid Certifications are Needed
OSHA recommends that every workplace have one or more employees trained and certified in first aid, including CPR. This is considered best practice if the site is within reasonable, safe proximity to an infirmary, clinic, or hospital. But for remote locations or busy cities, this may not be enough to keep employees safe in the event of an emergency. Adult CPR/AED, Pediatric CPR/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens Training—depending on the environment, training, guidance, and certification in any of these can mean the difference between life and death.
What to Expect From an On-Site First Aid Training Course
The Lawson Group provides first aid training courses on-site at the employer’s/employee’s facility. Courses can be conveniently scheduled to work within a company’s operational needs. Certified Lawson Group instructors employ training mannequins with LED indicators, allowing instant feedback to both instructor and student. Instructors monitor and track while participants visually gauge their performance, reinforcing proper, potentially life-saving techniques. Participants can receive two-year certifications in selected courses and will be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide care until medical professionals arrive.
