Weekly Wellness Tips – Raw Foods

The idea of a raw food diet is the consumption of unprocessed, whole plant-based, ideally organic foods.

For your convenience, you can download a printer-friendly version of this article here.

The Raw Food Diet generally includes items such as:

  • Beans, seeds, grains, legumes, and nuts
  • Sun-dried and fresh fruits
  • Raw vegetables
  • Freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juices
  • Purified water
  • Seaweed

With a raw food diet, a minimum of 75% of a person’s intake should consist of uncooked food. Plant-based diets either significantly reduce or completely eliminate people’s genetic propensity to developing chronic diseases, such as Type 2 Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
